Product Name
The lightest and most versatile concrete masonry material in today's world is Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC). With a distinct cellular structure featuring tiny pockets of trapped air, it is the new-age, smart and eco-friendly building material in use. This has helped us emerge as the most viable substitute of the conventional Red Clay Bricks used in building walls in residential, commercial and institutional construction activities.
AAC Blocks are made from 60-65% FlyAsh (by weight), OPC cement, Quicklime, Aluminium powder and Gypsum. They are extremely strong and durable despite their light weight. AAC's solidity comes from the calcium silicate and from the process of curing in a pressurized steam chamber called an Autoclave.
Grade l, ISI approved high pressure steam curing autoclaving process gives AAC blocks unmatchable strength to weight ratio higher than even M150 concrete.
Time consumed in building walls decreases due to light weight of the product and its size advantage over conventional clay bricks. This decreases lead time as well as installation time.
With solid wall construction and finishes, there are fewer if any, cavities for insects & rodents to dwell in.
The manufacturing process gives the blocks considerable strength, this along with their lightweight impart steadiness to a building, making it earthquake resistant.
With a sound transmission class rating of 44, it can be used as a sound barrier 8" wall along busy roads.
There is no need to water AAC Blocks for curing. Only the mortar joints need to be cured with water in case of a conventional mortar mix; if Ecorex block jointing mortar is used then absolutely no water is required.
AAC material is completely inorganic and not combustible. AAC Blocks are suitable for use in areas where fire safety is recommended as these blocks are fire resistant for about 2-6 hours depending on thickness of the wall.
Thermal insulation is one of the greatest benefits of using AAC Blocks, as AAC walls help maintain distinct internal and external temperatures, saving energy cost.
Being light in weight and larger in size, AAC Blocks are easy to apply and facilitate the efficiency of the mason, particularly in high-rise work.
